Gifts for Mom

Saturday, May 9th will be our last open "Take-out" day before Mother's Day! Drop by the shop between noon and 3:00 and we'll bring the items you request to you outside the door. You can make purchases at the curbside. To keep us all safe we are slathering everything (including ourselves) with disinfectant and peeking out from behind our masks ;).

We've put together some gifts that we think mom will love ('cause we love them and we're moms). Buy them as a group and we'll put them in a lovely box with a gift tag and ribbon or choose any item individually.

The ultimate Mother's Day gift! Luxe hand soap and hand cream paired with a lovely scented candle from Formulary 55 is just the thing to soothe those over-washed hands!

What a couple! A book of inspiring postcards from an old friend (named Barack) and a thoughtful journal from Michelle. Pair with a lovely citrus crush scented candle for some much needed bliss!

Spoil Mom with a little Kate Spade stationery love. Surely she'll need some special notecards for pandemic correspondence and a Kate Spade pen or mechanical pencil to match the journal + the notecards. Plants really bring the indoors to life! We just picked up a nice variety of some amazing fresh plants. Pair a unique pot, basket or macrame hanger! This cool, handmade (in Burien) wooden planter (lower right side) is among the many options. A good plant book is a thoughtful addition to a plant gift. I love "Leaf Supply". Pretty enough to be a coffee table book, it combines basic plant instructions with inspiring pics for styling with plants and fun bios of some cool "plant people" - all with a British flair!

A few things to usher in a little calmness - tailor made for this strange time. A quality writing instrument like this gold rollerball pen with a magnet top lends a feeling a authority.

Glassy Baby Roadshow

One of our favorite events of the year happens just before Mothers' Day!  This is when we team up with Glassy Baby for a special shopping party that benefits Highline Schools Foundation!  The Glassy Baby van shows up and those girls start unloading this amazing array of votive colors.  Before we know it our back room literally glows with this spectacular rainbow of glass!  There are typically some new designs tucked in among the traditional favorites - a little something to keep collectors happy!  We also have lots of new gifts for mom in our paper boutique!  The double bonus is that each purchase results in a donation to the Highline Schools Foundation!  A thoughtful gift and a donation to benefit local kids - what a way to make mom smile on Mothers' Day!  Please drop by on Thursday, May 10 from 4 - 7 pm at our Seahurst Shop.  We'll have sips and bites to enjoy while you make the tough {shopping} decisions.

Mother's Day Sip 'n Shop

Mark your calendar!  May 4, 4:00 - 7:00pm at our Seahurst Shop!  This is our second annual collaboration with Glassy Baby to raise money for the Highline Schools Foundation.  Like last year, drop by to sip a cocktail, shop our new selection of specially curated "Mom" gifts or pick out a special glassy baby.  It's a fun celebration of spring with the added bonus that a portion of every purchase is donated to the Highline Schools Foundation!  If you'd like to give mom a gift of a special donation in her name we can help you with that as well!  So, bring a friend, bring a mom or come by yourself...just don't miss out!
